Former Leeds United star Archie Gray is reportedly wanted by Brentford. According to reports, the Bees are looking to sign the Spurs makeshift full-back with Keith Andrews eyeing reinforcements for the Bees' European push.
The 20-year-old maintained his starting position at right-back for Saturday's showdown with Newcastle United and Micky Van de Ven wore the armband once again. However, it was more disappointment for Spurs and Gray as they were beaten 2-0 by the Magpies to make it back-to-back defeats, in light of their opening day drubbing to Brentford.
Anthony Elanga and Yoane Wissa were on target to succumb Roberto De Zerbi's side to another loss but also add to an unwanted record for Gray.

Saturday's outing was his 39th start for Spurs and his 29th defeat, since leaving Leeds in 2024, with only six wins during that time.
Tom Barclay has reported that Brentford have shown some late interest in Gray, a player they saw swept out of their grasp when he joined Spurs two years ago.
The North London club are said to be intent of keeping him, having turned down an approach from Newcastle earlier this summer. The report adds that De Zerbi's side are likely to maintain a firm stance that the 20-year-old isn't for sale.
The former Brighton boss has previously spoken highly of the former Leeds man. In May, he talked up Gray's capabilities further down ihis career.

"He is very young, [but] big potential as a player. I think he can become the future," he said.
"I am sure he can become the future of this club and the captain of this club.
"He has to understand better what will be his position on the pitch. He can play in a lot of positions, but maybe I would like him to be more specific in one position.
