Brighton refuse to give up on Azeez after two bids rejected by Millwall
Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly set to intensify their efforts to secure the signing of Super Eagles winger Femi Azeez before the close of the current summer transfer window, according to The Athletic's David Ornstein,
The Millwall forward has been a subject of interest from Brighton following his impressive performance in the Championship last campaign, which earned him a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Season.
Azeez was a key figure for Millwall throughout the campaign, scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists as the Lions reached the promotion playoffs before suffering defeat to Hull City.
His outstanding performances also earned him an opportunity at international level, with the winger making his Super Eagles debut during the Unity Cup tournament in England and playing an important role as Nigeria retained the trophy.
His impressive display has attracted the attention of Brighton, with the Premier League club reportedly keen to lure the Nigerian international to the Amex Stadium.
Brighton have reportedly submitted two proposals for the winger, with the latest offer understood to be a package worth around £10 million.
However, Millwall have rejected both proposals as they want a higher fee before considering the sale of one of their prized assets.
Brighton remain interested in signing Azeez and are planning to intensify their efforts to complete the deal before the transfer window closes.
The Seagulls are expected to return with an improved proposal, with the Nigerian international currently valued at around €15 million by Transfermarkt.
With only a few days remaining in the summer window, Azeez will be keen to secure a move to the Premier League and earn the opportunity to continue his development while testing himself at the highest level of English football.
