With news that Richarlison could be on his way back to Merseyside, Everton have made room in the squad by shipping out Beto. The Guinea Bissau international was the Toffees’ top scorer last season with ten in all competitions and has managed 25 goals in 113 appearances since signing for the Blues in the summer of 2023.
Everton have an agreement with Serie A side Fiorentina for a deal worth up to £15 million. The Viola are off to a rough start in their centenary season having shipped seven goals and scoring none in their first pair of league games this season. The forward is expected to have his medical on Monday in Florence.
Earlier today rumours broke that Everton have been talking to AS Monaco about striker and United States international Folarin Balogun, with the player expected to cost about the same as Beto.
While not clear if his pursuit is in addition to Richarlison, but the Toffees have had a fond relationship with an American fanbase and bringing in the USMNT international could be a marketing coup for the Friedkins.
