Juventus are looking at a familiar name to German football fans as they prepare for the possibility of Jonathan David leaving Turin.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Juventus have made contact with Newcastle United to ask about taking Nick Woltemade on loan. The German forward is one of their options alongside Joshua Zirkzee if David departs, with Atlético Madrid pushing for the Canadian striker.
Woltemade should be a particularly interesting name for Bayern Munich supporters. Before his move to Newcastle, the 24-year-old enjoyed a breakout season with VfB Stuttgart, scoring 12 Bundesliga goals and helping the club win the DFB-Pokal. His performances also earned him his senior Germany debut, while he became the top scorer at the 2025 European Under-21 Championship.
Bayern Munich was heavily linked with Woltemade during his Stuttgart breakthrough, with Max Eberl confirming the club’s interest. Stuttgart ultimately sold him to Newcastle in 2025.
Now, just one year later, Woltemade could be on the move again. For Bayern Munich, his situation will be worth watching closely, particularly given his German national-team pedigree and previous links to the club.
