Multiple sources claim that Atlético Madrid have opened talks with Lyon for Nicolás Tagliafico as the Colchoneros try to hijack Juventus’ move for the Argentine international.
Atlético Madrid have pounced on Lyon defender Tagliafico. Spanish journalist Rubén Uría first broke the news, which was quickly confirmed by Fabrizio Romano and La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Atletico Madrid rival Juventus for Tagliafico
Tagliafico is a Juventus target, and according to Romano, the Bianconeri already have an agreement with both Lyon and the experienced defender.
The Bianconeri, however, must first sell Juan Cabal to free up space for a new defensive signing, allowing Atletico Madrid to take advantage of the situation as they step up talks with both Lyon and Tagliafico.

According to Gazzetta, Cabal has attracted interest from Roma, Bologna and Atalanta, but the Colombian international has already rejected a move to the Dall’Ara, while Atalanta will make a new attempt today.
Tagliafico, 34, is a 2022 Argentina World Cup winner, and his contract with Lyon expires in less than a year, in June 2027.
