Multiple sources in Italy claim that Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram will undergo knee surgery tomorrow and won’t return to action until January 2027.
Juventus midfielder Thuram will undergo surgery tomorrow, Thursday, September 3, due to patellofemoral syndrome that has been affecting him since the end of the 2025-26 season.
Juventus lose Thuram for four months

Thuram visited knee specialist Bertrand Sonnery Cottet in Lyon earlier this week and, according to Gazzetta and SportMediaset, the specialist suggested that Thuram undergo surgery.
Gazzetta explains that the procedure addresses wear and tear of the cartilage covering the back of the kneecap and is performed arthroscopically.

According to reports, Thuram will remain out of action for four months and return to action in January 2027
Thuram didn’t feature in any pre-season friendly for Juventus, mostly training separately from the team throughout the summer.

Juventus signed Pape Matar Sarr on loan with an option to buy from Tottenham on deadline day to add depth in the middle of the park and replace Thuram for the first part of the campaign.
Another Juventus star, Kenan Yildiz, has recently undergone surgery for a foot fracture and will be sidelined for at least three months.
