Pape Matar Sarr is eager to settle into life at Juventus as quickly as possible and has revealed that former Bianconeri star Paul Pogba is his role model at the club.
Sarr released his first interview as a Juventus player after completing an initial loan move from Tottenham on deadline day.

“My first impression is that Juventus is a huge club with a history of great players like Zidane, Paulo Pogba, and Platini. This club means a lot to me. It’s a great club, and I’m very happy to be here,” Sarr told Juventus’ official website.
“I’m really excited about getting stuck into this new challenge at Juventus.”
Juventus had targeted Franck Kessié, but ultimately failed to reach an agreement with the Ivory Coast international, who was available as a free agent, so they signed Sarr instead.
“I’m a player who likes to get up and down both ends of the field. I can score goals, build the team’s play and defend as well,” said the Tottenham loanee.

“I try to protect the team and help them play well too. That’s how I’d describe my game.
“My aim is to settle into the team’s way of playing because Juventus are a top club. A club with a great history, the most successful club in Italy.
“I’m delighted to be a part of all that this year. We’ll try to focus on one match at a time, win as many as we can, and we’ll see where it takes us.”
Sarr was asked to name a role model among the ex-Juventus stars, and he had a clear answer: “If I had to name a Juventus role model, I’d say Paul Pogba.”
Juventus paid €2.5m for Sarr’s one-season loan and have an option to buy for €27.5m, payable over the course of three financial years.
Sarr, a 23-year-old Senegalese international, scored 11 goals in 141 appearances across all competitions with Tottenham.
Juventus also signed Nick Woltemade from Newcastle on deadline day, with the German striker moving to the Allianz Stadium on a loan deal.
