FC Porto is interested in a move for Federico Gatti, and they have enough time to sign him because the Portuguese transfer window did not close last night.
Although Gatti is seen as a dressing room leader, he is not considered good enough to always start matches for the Juventus first team, and the Bianconeri are looking to offload him. He has not been a regular and is unlikely to become one under Luciano Spalletti if all their players are fit.
Porto emerge as Gatti suitors
Leaving could therefore make sense for Gatti, and he might be open to a move to Porto. The defender now has an opportunity to consider his options as the Portuguese side look to strengthen their squad.
Calciomercato reports that Porto have emerged as suitors for his signature as Gatti looks to decide where his future lies. The defender could be open to the move, particularly if it offers him a greater opportunity to play regularly.
Juve want Gatti to stay for the purpose of squad depth, but they do not feel there would be an issue if the defender leaves them this summer. The Bianconeri therefore appear willing to consider a departure if the right opportunity emerges.

Juventus open to Gatti exit
The Bianconeri are open to talks with Porto, and the Portuguese side are keen to make the transfer happen as they look to defend the league title they won last season. That could give Gatti another option as he considers whether to remain in Turin.
Gatti has always said he is very happy in Turin, so it will be interesting to see whether he turns down Porto’s approach and stays with Juventus. Remaining at Juve would allow him to continue competing for opportunities, although his chances of playing regularly could remain limited.
The defender now faces a decision over his future. Juventus are prepared to listen to Porto, while Gatti must determine whether a move would offer him the playing time he wants or whether he would prefer to remain with the Bianconeri and fight for more opportunities.
