Juventus take on AC Milan in their next match this weekend, and the Bianconeri have been handed a fitness boost as Milan could be without Matteo Gabbia.
Gabbia has been one of the most important players in their team this season, and he would be expected to start such a big match if he is fit. Milan would therefore much rather have him available for the fixture than face the prospect of being without him.
Gabbia emerges as a doubt
There are still a few days before the match begins, but Gabbia is now a doubt and has been unable to train as normal ahead of the fixture. His fitness will therefore be something Milan have to monitor closely as they prepare to face Juventus.
Ruben Amorim needs all his best players to be fit and available for the match, so he would not welcome this news. For Juventus, however, the possibility of Gabbia missing the game represents a positive development as they prepare for another difficult fixture.
The Bianconeri are not without their own fitness problems, with several of their injured players expected to remain out for a long time. Juventus will therefore have to make their plans for the game based on the players who are fit and available.

Juventus prepare for Milan test
So far, Juventus have started the season well, but Milan represents a new challenge for the Bianconeri. Their opponents will be one of the teams to watch this season, making the fixture an important test for Juve.
The Bianconeri will want to take advantage of any advantage that comes their way, particularly if Milan are forced to play without one of their important defenders. Juventus will also have to manage their own absences and ensure that the players available are prepared for the challenge.
According to Calciomercato, Gabbia remains a doubt because he has been unable to train normally before the fixture. That uncertainty could continue until closer to kick-off, leaving Milan waiting to see whether he can recover in time.
For Juventus, the match offers an opportunity to earn early bragging rights over one of their fellow title challengers. With Milan expected to be among the teams competing strongly this season, the Bianconeri will want to make the most of the chance presented to them.
