Christian Pulisic of USA cardinale
Christian Pulisic is yet to make his debut for AC Milan this season, but Sunday’s trip to Juventus should be the night of his first appearance.
Two games, zero minutes. As Calciomercato.com write, Pulisic hasn’t yet worn the Milan shirt in the 2026-27 season, but he hopes to do so at the Allianz Stadium, where last season he missed what would have been a winning penalty.

It was an opportunity spurned, in a season plagued by injuries. The latest came at the World Cup was a bone edema in the junction of the tibia and fibula in his right leg, which forced him to miss preseason and forces him to pursue a career.
The present and the future
The former Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund player was benched for last Friday’s win against Venezia, but he’s not ready yet to play a sizeable chunk of the game. Ruben Amorim confirmed this in his post-match interview.
“He’s a great talent. I simply have to manage my players’ workloads, and right now we need to win. So it’s difficult for Pulisic to find space, but he’s still a very important player for us,” the Milan coach said. In other words, he’s currently behind Cisse and Loftus-Cheek, at least in condition.

A starting spot isn’t guaranteed though and the American is no longer untouchable, especially with so many competitors for the playmaker spots. He needs to reclaim his place, not live off the benefits of what he’s done until the end of 2025.
Having lost Rafael Leao, who was sold permanently to Galatasaray, Milan are looking for new leaders in the attac. Pulisic has everything it takes to become one again, after a complicated summer in which the transfer market was a noise in the background.
Major League Soccer club New York FC tried to bring him to the United States, but it never got very far. Pulisic is at the heart of Cardinale’s sporting and commercial project, and in the coming weeks he will personally address the renewal issue.
Pulisic’s contract expires in 2027, and the provocative request from the player’s agents is for a salary doubled from €4m net to €8m net per season. It’s possible the parties will reach a halfway agreement, but Milan first and foremost expects responses from the pitch.
