In this weekend’s game against Juventus, there are a few tests facing AC Milan and a number of questions will be answered.
The mercato is now over, so the football is left to do the talking. For Milan, their football has done more than enough so far; a perfect record and only one goal conceded. It’s a fine start, but it’ll lose value if they don’t continue strongly this weekend.

So, ahead of the game, MilanNews have looked at three things which could be decisive for the season and could be displayed this weekend.
Questions facing Milan this weekend
The first point is quite literally the biggest; it’s the Rossoneri’s first big test of the season. Yes, you could argue that there have been challenges so far; you could stumble away to Torino, and we’ve seen struggles against newly promoted sides.
Yet, they’ve not faced anyone in the European battle, let alone a Champions League contender. It’s a six-pointer on the third match day and we’ve no idea how the Diavolo will deal with that situation.
It is, therefore, a test for Ruben Amorim to see if he’s got his team ready for the new cycle. Hence, it’s an indicator for the season.

The second query is who plays in attacking midfield. Amorim now has a complete set of options, but it’ll be his utilisation of them here which causes interest. Adrien Rabiot seems to be a given at this stage, but the other spot could be taken by two.
Finally, the defence should remain the same again – finally some consistency at the back (!) – but this will be a test of their ability to keep out a top level attack, at least in Serie A terms.
Torino and Venezia didn’t really threaten consistently, but the Bianconeri can and whether they will is the test. Considering the persistent t alk about another central defender recently, it must be a strong defensive game…
