Although Juventus could have a good season and have done well in this transfer window, Luciano Moggi says they are still a long way from being one of the top teams in the world as they once were.
The Bianconeri are going through a poor era as a team, and they will be looking to ensure they return to their best level as soon as possible. They did not have the perfect summer, but they managed to sign players who can certainly make the team as strong as possible and allow them to compete.
They will expect a lot from their manager, and Luciano Spalletti is experienced enough to get the best from the players at his disposal. However, Juve are still one of the teams that could underwhelm this term.
Juventus still have work to do
Much will depend on how well their summer signings perform this season. Even their longer-serving squad members cannot guarantee good performances, but they will need to deliver if the Bianconeri are to compete at the highest level.
Juve have made progress in the transfer market, but Moggi believes they still need time before they can return to the level they previously reached. The club has improved its approach, but rebuilding a team capable of competing among the world’s best will not happen immediately.
The Bianconeri must therefore focus on making the most of their new additions while ensuring their existing players also perform consistently. Spalletti will have an important role in getting the best from the squad.

Moggi expects gradual improvement
Moggi believes Juventus have improved, particularly through the expertise of the people now working on their recruitment and football decisions. However, he does not expect an immediate return to their former level.
He said via Tuttomercatoweb:
“They’ve improved. We’re moving from algorithms to football knowledge and subject matter expertise, and that’s the most important thing. Massara, Ottolini, and Carnevali know their stuff. But it’ll take a couple of years to get things back on track.”
Moggi’s assessment suggests that Juventus are moving in the right direction, but patience will be required. The Bianconeri may have strengthened their squad this summer, yet returning to the highest level will require more than one successful transfer window.
For now, Juve will hope their new signings make an immediate impact and that Spalletti can turn the improved squad into a competitive team. Their progress will ultimately depend on how well those players perform throughout the season.
