Pavlovic and Conceicao Juve-Milan
As part of a longer interview with Tuttosport, the AC Milan centre-back Strahinja Pavlovic previewed Sunday’s clash against Juventus.
Pavlovic has been a key player for Milan so far this season, no doubt about it, with zero goals conceded when he, Mario Gila and Koni De Winter have been on the pitch together. It’s a trend that the trio will be looking to continue tomorrow, taking on Juventus away from home.

Indeed, the defence will remain unchanged as Ruben Amorim doesn’t have Matteo Gabbia at his disposal. Instead, Fikayo Tomori has been brought back into action and the youngster Sankhoun Diawara is also available, but Pavlovic likely won’t get any rest during the game.
Tough match in Turin
Speaking to Tuttosport about tomorrow’s game, as part of a longer interview published this morning, Pavlovic said that Milan deserved more from their previous games at Allianz Stadium. He also praised his new teammate Gila.
Can we expect a better Juventus-Milan match than last season’s matches?
“These were two different 0-0 draws. In Turin, we deserved more. We missed a penalty and Leao had two great chances. The return match, however, was a truly awful 0-0.
“It will be a tough match. Juve are a good team and I think they can fight alongside us not only to qualify for the Champions League, but also for something more. There are six or seven teams that can win. Inter may be the favourites, but it will be a tough race.”

Returning to Juventus, who do you fear most about the Bianconeri?
“Conceiçao is difficult to contain. He’s quick, he shoots with both feet, but I think his marking will be more the responsibility of Bartesaghi or Estupinan this season. I really like Bremer and Lucumi, two of the best defenders in the league.”
Speaking of defenders, Gila has arrived. What do you think about the new signings?
“I like Mario, he’s strong, as is Ramos. It’s too soon to say much about the others, but I want to say a word about Cisse. He has really surprised me: he’s young, but it looks like he’s made 200 Serie A appearances.”
Cardinale will be in Turin tomorrow. How important is his presence at the start of the season?
“It’s always great when an owner is so close to the team. We have all spoken to him several times. You can see that he’s happy, enthusiastic, and excited to experience this on the front lines.
“He doesn’t want to see a season like the last one again. He wants to win like the rest of us. We want to do well in the league and try to reach the final stages of the Europa League because we are Milan.”
