A bigger test was awaited on Sunday lunchtime at the PUMA House of Football against Juventus, and it was one that the young Rossoneri passed. Juventus’ first real chance came through Corigliano, who fired a shot over, while Milan came close when Zaramella fed Domnitei who flashed one wide.
The deadlock was broken in the 34th minute. It was good work by Nolli, who cut back and crossed from right to left for Tartaglia’s beautiful volley to make it 1-0. Milan doubled their lead in the 39th minute: a free-kick taken by Nolli (another assist) led to a perfect header by captain Cullotta.
Juventus got off to a better start in the second half , with Corigliano’s effort flying high over the crossbar. In the 55th minute, the away side came close again with substitute Camara’s header, but the ball went over.
The remaining minutes passed without a comeback being mounted. Next up for the Primavera is a trip to face Verona next Saturday, a game in which they will hope to climb the table further.
