Manchester United will be back in European action on Thursday when they face Sabah at Old Trafford after drawing at Everton in the Premier League

Manchester United are confident Marcus Rashford will be available for Thursday's Champions League opener against Azerbaijani side Sabah at Old Trafford. The England international was withdrawn against Everton at a time when Michael Carrick is already managing several injuries within his squad.
Rashford was taken off 20 minutes from time after starting his second successive league game. Carrick later explained that the change was precautionary. "He was just feeling a bit of something," the United boss said.
"He's done very well. As I said during the week, he's done really well since he came back. He looked really sharp today and dangerous."
In addition to Rashford, Carrick currently has five players in the treatment room.

Carlos Baleba
Baleba arrived at United carrying a minor issue.
What Carrick has said: "He's got a little ankle issue. So, maybe a couple of weeks or so, maybe three weeks, we'll see. But we knew that before, so it's no major issue.
"It’ll be great to have him back when we can. We’ll wait and see. We’re hopeful but I don’t want to put any deadlines on it just yet.'
Baleba could be back before the international break in a few weeks but United might decide it is best to save his debut until after that.
Potential return date: Tottenham at home on October 10.
Amad
Amad has been sidelined since picking up an injury in training and was forced to miss the draw with Everton.
What Carrick has said: "Amad won’t be involved this week. He’ll be out a little bit longer."
Potential return date: Unknown.
Matthijs de Ligt
De Ligt hasn't featured for United since suffering a back injury last year, an issue he later required surgery on. He has now returned to training with the squad, but a first‑team comeback still appears to be at least a few weeks away.
What Carrick has said: "Matthijs has obviously been out for a long period of time, but he's training, and it's great to have him back. Well, he won't be involved, but he's in good shape and moving in a good direction. So that's really a good bonus for us really at this stage."
Potential return date: vs Tottenham on October 10.
Tom Heaton
Heaton picked up a hamstring injury during pre‑season and was due to undergo tests a few weeks ago to determine the severity of the problem.
However, there has been no update on his condition since.
Potential return date: Unknown.
Manuel Ugarte
Ugarte suffered a knee ligament tear during the World Cup this summer and is not expected to return until next year.
Despite the long‑term setback, he has still been named in United's Champions League and Premier League squads.
Potential return date: 2027.
