AC Milan and Juventus played out yet another draw on Sunday night, but this time there were at least goals to talk about.
After an intense first half lacking in quality, both goals came in the final 25 minutes. The substite Alphadjo Cisse opened the scoring with a lovely finish after cutting in on his right, but Federico Gatti’s header crashed in off the bar late on to earn Juventus a share of the spoils.

Worrying attacking output
It would be fair to remark that it wasn’t the dominant football that Amorim pledged to try and bring. Milan did edge possession, but generated only 0.09 Expected Goals from it.
The only shot on target for the Diavolo led to the opening goal, which was one of just three total shots. In addition, Milan generated just one corner.
Streaks and the Alpha
Juventus and Milan have now drawn three consecutive games in the Serie A for the first time since November 1973 (four on that occasion).
The game between the Bianconeri and the Rossoneri ended with at least a goal apiece for the first time since 19 September 2021 (1-1).
At 19 years and 319 days old, Cisse became the youngest player to score in his first two away matches with AC Milan in the Serie A (in the era of three points per win, since the 1994-95 season).
Cisse’s goal is also the first that Milan have scored against Juventus in the league since Olivier Giroud’s on 28 May 2023.
Before Alphadjo Cisse, the most recent Rossoneri players to score in Turin against both Torino and Juventus in the same Serie A season were Brahim Díaz and Ante Rebić in the 2020-21 season.
