Jadon Sancho is reportedly holding talks with at least two Premier League clubs as a free agent after the summer transfer window closed. Manchester United released the former England international at the end of last season by not opting to extend his deal by another 12 months.
Sancho, 26, was most recently on loan at Aston Villa. He joined them for the 2025/26 season after Chelsea paid a £5million penalty fee to United, having been obligated to sign him permanently.
The winger has now been without a club for two months. However, there is said to be Premier League interest.
Speculation has mounted in recent weeks, with Sancho linked to several clubs, though no transfer has yet come to fruition. A return to Borussia Dortmund has not been ruled out either, according to German publication Bild.
The Bundesliga outfit recently lost Giannis Konstantelias to a cruciate ligament injury - though did complete a deadline-day loan move for Arsenal young star Ethan Nwaneri. However, Sancho is said to have also become a subject of discussion once more.
The report claims he would 'be willing to forgo a signing bonus and accept a heavily performance-based contract'. As a free agent, they are not required to pay a transfer fee to Manchester United.
Bild suggests 'a return could be on the cards'. Sancho made 158 appearances for Dortmund across his two spells.
Sancho is also reported to have attracted interest from Premier League clubs. Two unnamed top-flight English clubs are thought to have made fresh approaches in 'recent days,' according to TEAMtalk.
Meanwhile, clubs in Turkey, the Saudi Pro League and the UAE are also exploring a deal for the one-time England international. Sancho has been offered the opportunity to join Arabian Falcons, the Dubai-based side managed by former Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey, who are enjoying a winning start to the new campaign.
United signed Sancho for £73m in 2021 after he had established himself as one of Europe's most sought-after young players. Clubs were queuing up for his signature, and it appeared as though United had won a major race.
Five years on, however, United have not seen a return on that investment. Sancho scored just 12 goals and registered six assists in 83 appearances during a spell that never truly took off.
