Manchester United have completed the signing of highly rated 16-year-old star Isaac Konde from Liverpool, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer reporter has confirmed that a move to Old Trafford is now “here we go”. He joins the Red Devils after a protracted battle.
Man United completed all the necessary steps over the past 24 hours as they continue to strengthen their academy ranks.
Konde is regarded as one of the more exciting young attackers in his age group, having impressed at youth level with his electric pace, direct dribbling and ability to take defenders on.
The teenager primarily operates from the left wing but is capable of playing on the opposite flank or through the middle as a centre-forward.
He will give Man United another versatile attacking option for their academy set-up.
Konde featured for Liverpool Under-18s last season, but he will now begin the next stage of his development at United.
The youngster is expected to join Darren Fletcher’s Under-18s initially.
The move fits into an overarching strategy at Man United, who have increasingly targeted promising teenagers from across the country in recent transfer windows.
United have already brought in the likes of Sekou Kone, Patrick Dorgu, Ayden Heaven, Cristian Orozco, Chido Obi and Harley Emsden-James.
Meanwhile, 18-year-old winger Tynan Thompson also arrived in a deal worth an initial £4 million that could eventually reach £8m with add-ons.
Man Utd chairman Sir Jim Ratcliffe knows the academy’s importance. In October 2025, he stressed that standards had really slipped.
The Englishman insisted United needed to consistently produce players who could contribute both on the pitch and financially.
Konde could eventually become another important part of that pipeline.
His arrival also adds competition for 15-year-old sensation JJ Gabriel, who has already trained regularly with United’s first team.
Gabriel is expected to sign a pre-contract agreement on his 16th birthday in October before moving onto a professional deal when he turns 17 in 2027.
