Manchester United officially announce record-breaking kit sponsorship deal

Manchester United have officially announced a major new sponsorship agreement as the club continue to strengthen their commercial position.

The Red Devils remain one of the biggest commercial forces in world football, with their global reach continuing to attract major brands.

United have had a mixed start to the 2026/27 season, losing 2-0 against Hull City before responding with an emphatic 5-2 victory over Ipswich Town.

Michael Carrick’s side then drew 2-2 against Everton, but attention now turns towards their return to the Champions League on Thursday.

Ahead of that clash, United have confirmed some significant news away from the pitch.

The club announced on their official website that they have entered a multi-year partnership with financial technology company SumUp.

The agreement makes SumUp United’s new Official Sleeve Partner, with its logo appearing on the men’s, women’s and Academy shirts across all competitions.

The partnership will officially begin when United face Sabah in the Champions League on Thursday.

Manchester United land record-breaking sponsorship deal

The scale of United’s latest commercial agreement has now been revealed, and it represents another major financial boost for the club.

According to the Daily Mail, United have landed the biggest sleeve sponsorship deal in the club’s history, with the agreement described as a multi-million-pound deal.

SumUp replaces DXC Technology, whose agreement with United came to an end during the summer.

As previously covered by Centre Devils, the previous sleeve sponsorship was worth around £20million per season.

United had subsequently played their opening three Premier League fixtures without a sleeve sponsor, but that will now change following the record-breaking agreement.

Old Trafford insiders have indicated that the additional revenue will help United sustainably reinvest into the club as they pursue their primary ambition of winning major trophies.

The agreement follows United’s record-breaking £20m-a-year training kit partnership with Betway, further strengthening the club’s commercial portfolio.
