Lewis Hall is set to sign a new contract with Newcastle United.
According to transfer reporter Ben Jacobs, the 22-year-old has reached an agreement with the Tyneside club over a new deal.
Hall is understood to be impressed by new head coach Matthias Jaissle and wants to continue his career at Newcastle.
The talented left-back has started the opening three Premier League matches this season. He set up Harvery Barnes’ goal in Newcastle’s 2-2 draw with Bournemouth on Saturday.
Hall’s current contract does not expire until 2029, but the club are keen to tie him down to a new deal.
The England international has significantly enhanced his reputation since joining Newcastle in 2023.
He has made 106 senior appearances and helped his side win the 2024-25 League Cup.
It was a summer of huge changes for Newcastle, as they lost several key players and Eddie Howe stepped down as manager.
Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali were sold after the club entered a settlement agreement with UEFA for breaching their spending rules. Bruno Guimaraes then joined Arsenal.
However, the Magpies refused to entertain offers for Hall.
Manchester United have been linked with an interest in the talented left-back.
They view him as the ideal long-term replacement for Luke Shaw.
Shaw is a quality defender who has featured in all three league games for United.
But he has turned 31 and less than a year now remains on his contract at Old Trafford.
