Manchester United youngster Finley McAllister has left the club on loan for the first time in his career.
Even though the transfer window is closed, there is more players news to report. Earlier this week James Overy’s exit to Sydney FC was confirmed, and then Isaac Konde completed his youth move from Liverpool to the under-18s.
Now the exit of youngster Finley McAllister has been confirmed.
McAllister has signed with National League North side Radcliffe FC.
He has signed an initial one-month loan, which could potentially be extended.
The 20-year-old has been assigned the number 34 shirt at his new loan side, who are currently placed in the relegation zone with one win from seven games.
Radcliffe hailed McAllister’s credentials, noting that he is ‘known for his precise passing range, elite leadership qualities and outstanding work rate’.

How the deal for Finley McAllister was done
The English transfer window is closed, so you may be wondering how the deal for McAllister was able to get done?
The rules and regulations are more lenient towards clubs further down the football league ladder. Specific exceptions apply to young players and non-league registrations that bypass strict transfer window constraints.
This allows Premier League and EFL clubs to loan out young players for the sake of their development and to help the non-league teams too. McAllister’s loan is akin to a work experience placement for a young player, and this is how the one-month deal is regarded.
McAllister could make an instant debut for Radcliffe. They have confirmed his registration in time for their fixture on September 8 against Hebburn Town.
McAllister needs new test
Finley McAllister made his Manchester United under-18s debut way back in 2021 when he was only 14.
He has been a consistent presence ever since for the 18s and under-21s, working under Travis Binnion and Adam Lawrence, and winning the youth title in 2023/24.
With 42 competitive under-21 games under his belt, the midfielder needs a new challenge and this loan spell is a great opportunity for him to sample senior football.
