UEFA Champions League history will be made on Friday morning AEST when Azerbaijani side Sabah make their debut in Europe’s premier club competition against Manchester United.
The Red Devils will be hoping to ruin Sabah’s party at Old Trafford, with United desperate to start their first Champions League campaign in three years on a positive note after a making a stuttering start to their domestic season in the Premier League.
Sabah, meanwhile, will hope not to be overawed by the occasion, with the club only just scraping through to the league phase after winning a tense qualification tie against Israeli side Hapoel Be’er Sheva a couple of weeks ago.
Australian football fans can watch Manchester United host Sabah live and exclusively on Stan Sport, with the Champions League fixture kicking off at 5am AEST on Friday.
