Bryan Mbeumo has opened up on his preferred Manchester United position ahead of Thursday night’s Champions League clash with Sabah.
The Cameroon international has operated across Michael Carrick’s attack since joining United, including through the middle and from the right.
Mbeumo has started United’s opening Premier League games on the right, including Sunday’s 2-2 draw at Everton.
He produced another impressive moment there, cutting inside before curling home his second league goal in successive matches. ReadManUtd’s Everton match report details his impact at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
However, Mbeumo insists he is comfortable being moved around Carrick’s frontline.

"He prefers playing on the left!"
Mbeumo then replied: "I'm used to a few positions. Back at Troyes, I played right and drifted central.

Bryan Mbeumo happy with different Man Utd roles
Speaking alongside Carrick before the Sabah game, Mbeumo was asked where he believes he is most dangerous.
The forward explained that he has played centrally and on both wings throughout his career.
“I’ve been used to playing a few positions in the attack,” Mbeumo said during United’s official pre-match press conference.
He added that his exact role “doesn’t really matter” provided he can perform for the team.
It continues a theme Mbeumo discussed earlier this summer.
After scoring twice against Atletico Madrid, he admitted he enjoyed operating as a striker as Carrick experimented with different attacking combinations.
His flexibility could become increasingly useful now Benjamin Sesko is approaching full fitness.
ReadManUtd’s predicted XI against Sabah has Sesko pushing to lead the line, potentially allowing Mbeumo to remain on the right.
Marcus Rashford’s return has increased Carrick’s options further, and Mbeumo has already welcomed his teammate back into the United squad.
Mbeumo’s versatility means Carrick does not necessarily need to settle on one permanent position.
For now, the 27-year-old is producing from the right. But his latest comments make clear he remains ready to move wherever United need him.
