Manchester United manager Michael Carrick now knows that Benjamin Sesko has to be the answer in the centre-forward position.
Sesko has struggled for starts this season, partly due to the fact that he missed parts of pre-season injured.
Last campaign, Sesko was in and out of the side, with Carrick often opting for Bryan Mbeumo or Matheus Cunha in the striker role.
Sesko was adapting to the Premier League and life in England last season, and produced impressive returns considering the circumstances.
So far this season, Cunha has started all three Premier League games up front, despite predominantly being a wide player or a number 10 throughout his career.
Sesko has come off the bench in all three games, and scored an important goal against Everton which should have sealed them all three points, before Ainsley Maitland-Niles equalised for the Toffees.
After Sesko bagged off the bench against Everton, many were urging Carrick to hand him more starts through the middle of attack.
Cunha is undoubtedly a phenomenal footballer, but it's clear to see he's more suited to other roles than playing as a central striker.

Sesko, however, is a natural striker, and he's now scored in consecutive games after also finding the back of the net against Sabah in the Champions League.
Playing as a striker, Cunha failed to score in all three Premier League games so far this season, and it clearly wasn't working with United struggling to produce consistent performances.

Sesko only going to improve

Even if Carrick believes Cunha is the better option right now, backing Sesko and allowing him to develop would benefit United in the long run.
Sesko undoubtedly has more potential as a centre-forward, and he's now had a year of settling in.
Sticking and persisting with Sesko would be a smart move from Carrick, especially with Cunha flattering to deceive in that role.
The powerful striker may have been getting back to full fitness, hence the lack of game time, but it's now an opportunity for Carrick to unleash him and give him a proper run of games in the centre-forward position.
