Edson DeJonge-Seiros and Noah Ajayi breeze Manchester United past Newcastle
On a windy day up in Newcastle, United ended up breezing past a tough opposition 2-0 away from home.
The lead was taken in the first-half through exciting winger Edson DeJonge-Seiros as he finished his chance really nicely with his left foot, across goal into the bottom corner.
United didn’t let up, had multiple more chances, and then, finally, in the 90th minute, Noah Ajayi put the Red Devils 2-0 up.
Ajayi didn’t start, but proved an absolute menace to Newcastle’s defence, with multiple warnings before he scored a brilliant goal by lifting it over the goalkeeper.
The victory pushes United to fourth in the league, six points off City, who have a game in hand. It was Darren Fletcher’s side’s fourth win in a row, scoring 13 and conceding zero in these games.
DeJonge-Seiros and Ajayi starred for United with several other notable performances from Jay McEvoy, Jayden Ngwashi, and Yuel Helafu.
The title race looks back on for United.
