Manchester United defender Leny Yoro has been tipped to be a successful signing for Arsenal in the future

Former Arsenal star Bacary Sagna believes that Manchester United defender Leny Yoro has the ability to “shine” for the Gunners. Yoro signed for United from Lille in the summer of 2024 in a deal reported to be worth around £52million.
Arsenal made four signings during the recent summer transfer window, with Bruno Guimaraes, Christos Tzolis, Ezri Konsa and Illan Meslier all moving to the Emirates Stadium.
Yoro was linked with the likes of Real Madrid and Liverpool, as well as Arsenal, before he completed a move to United two years ago, and has since gone on to make 69 appearances for the Red Devils.
Now with two years of Premier League experience under his belt, Yoro has been tipped to be a successful signing for Arsenal in the future by Sagna, if he was to move to north London.
“He’s [Sagna] a nice prospect, an amazing player,” Sagna said in an interview with Action Network.
“If he came to Arsenal and Arsenal were shining, he would probably have been shining too.
“So it’s not only about the quality of the player, it’s also about how the team is performing at that time. I think hopefully United as a team will bounce back and Yoro will have a good season because he’s a top player.”
Sagna went on to praise Yoro for adjusting to life in the Premier League while competing in a “sick” team in United.
“He is another top player but he came to a sick team. When he joined, the team was sick,” Sagna added.

“So yes I would love to see him perform well when everyone else is doing well but they started badly.
“You know when the team is not in form, to shine individually is more difficult. It’s not impossible because Bruno Fernandes proved it.
“But if the whole team is struggling and the team is sick, then there’s a higher chance you get sick too and in trouble.
“You’re going to have times over the course of the season where it’s going to be tougher for you because you’re going to get exposed as a defender.”
