Real Madrid star Arda Güler was responsible for nothing short of a masterclass performance after emerging from the bench in the club’s latest outing on Saturday.
This came en route to a comfortable victory for José Mourinho’s troops.
Eyeing a return to winning ways on the domestic front after a first defeat of the term at the hands of Real Betis last weekend, Real welcomed Rayo Vallecano to the Bernabéu a short time ago.
The aforementioned Arda was for his part forced to make do with a place on the bench from the off in Madrid. But after being introduced to proceedings during the 2nd-half, the Turk completely changed the pattern of the game.
Adding a new element of guile and cutting edge in the final third, Arda dragged his teammates out of a lull, en route to an eventual 4-1 triumph.
The highlight of his showing came in the form of an assist for Kylian Mbappé, with the 21-year-old’s stats, all told, showcased below:
* 23 minutes played
* 16/18 accurate passes
* 5 key passes
* 2 big chances created
* 2/2 successful dribbles
* 2 recoveries
* 1 assist
