Manchester United were robbed by an incredible offside call to condemn them to a 1-0 defeat against ten-man Man City.
A solid start by Man Utd gave way to the game heating up when Phil Foden saw red for a kick at Bruno Fernandes, leaving Michael Carrick with a man’s advantage.
City were the first to score in contentious circumstances, as an unbelievable offside call was overturned to the amazement of everyone watching to justify Haaland’s opener.
United needed to do more against ten men, but it’s impossible to shake off the feeling that this was fair.

Senne Lammens – 7
Not much to do as the goal was unsaveable. Made one great fingertip save.
Diogo Dalot – 5
A few good attacking runs but moments of pure ignorance in between.
Harry Maguire – 7
Defended on the front foot and didn’t let the ball reach dangerous areas.
Lisandro Martinez – 7
Same as Maguire, but with added effectiveness on the ball.
Patrick Dorgu – 4
His defensive positioning leaves a lot to be desired and his end product is seriously lacking. Clueless in both boxes.
Youri Tielemans – 7
Worked hard to close the gaps and showed his nifty quality on the ball as well.
Kobbie Mainoo – 8
Was everywhere in both boxes. Dominated on and off the ball to continue his dream run of form.
Bryan Mbeumo – 6
Hasn’t found as much joy running in behind as he did last season. Not very threatening receiving to feet.
Bruno Fernandes – 6
His biggest contribution was playing Foden smartly and getting them down to ten men. Needed to do more with the ball.
Marcus Rashford – 8
United’s most threatening attacker, yet again. Unlucky to hit the post with a great free-kick. He has been Carrick’s hope amid a poor start to the season.
Matheus Cunha – 5
Tried hard to run the channels and press from the front but ST is not his position.

No heroics off the bench this time.
