If Manchester United fans were hoping to make a move happen in the upcoming transfer windows, those chances have reduced drastically, as it has been confirmed that Hall has signed a long-term extension with Newcastle United on improved terms.
So, it will be very difficult for Man Utd to get a deal done for Hall under these circumstances, unless it is the player who is adamant on making it happen.
And it now looks like Man Utd might be ready to rethink their transfer plans, which is also good news for Newcastle United and their hopes of keeping hold of Hall for the long-term future.

Michael Carrick’s side are set to prioritise the addition of a new left-back.
Man Utd are already laying the groundwork for a possible move for Truffert. On the other hand, the report also mentions that Hall remains a target for the club.
But there is also a recognition that bringing him from St James’ Park could prove impossible in the near future, owing to his new contract extension. It does not have any release clause either.
Man Utd picking alternative targets, and potentially making moves for them, does help Newcastle United. The Magpies will want as little interest in the signature of Hall as possible.
Even though Hall has signed a new contract, that does not mean that he cannot leave the club. In modern football, when a player pushes for a move away, more often than not, they get it.
Newcastle United will know that better than most teams. They have seen the likes of Alexander Isak, Bruno Guimaraes, Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon leave within the space of 12 months.
So, if Manchester United do end up signing someone like Truffert, a transfer expected to cost in the region of £60 million, it pretty much closes the door on them making a move for Hall.
Obviously, that helps Newcastle United. But then, Man Utd are not the only team interested in Hall. It is believed Liverpool have made him a top target for the upcoming summer transfer window in 2027.
