United overhauled their midfield through a trio of fresh arrivals as Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans and Carlos Baleba completed switches to the club. Bournemouth talent Alex Scott was among numerous players to be linked with a switch to Old Trafford as they weighed up which midfielders to pursue.
The 23-year-old has emerged as a key figure for the Cherries, playing a crucial role in guiding the side to European qualification last season. Despite Bournemouth's efforts to retain Scott, his future will remain uncertain in upcoming transfer windows.

Bournemouth will reportedly demand a minimum of £100million to consider selling Scott in future transfer windows. United were one of several clubs to register interest in the midfielder throughout the summer.
The 23-year-old rejected the prospect of a fresh contract, fuelling speculation that he could depart Bournemouth. However, the Cherries were unwilling to consider bids and an update on the club's position has emerged.
The Athletic reports that Scott is expected to command a minimum of £100m should he depart the club next summer. It is claimed that Bournemouth believe Scott will attract an even higher fee, despite having one fewer year remaining on his contract.
While United ultimately pursued other targets, Chelsea tabled a £64m bid for Scott, which was turned down. He is currently tied to the club until 2028 and will enter the final year of his deal next summer.

Leny Yoro plan made clear
United defender Lisandro Martinez has backed Leny Yoro to become the cornerstone of the club's backline following his recent impressive display in the Champions League. The 20-year-old arrived from Lille in 2024 and has faced competition for a consistent starting berth but Martinez has urged the club to build their defence around Yoro eventually.
"Amazing performance from Leny Yoro," Martinez said following the midweek victory over Sabah. "He played so well defensively, with the ball, being calm, being composed in every situation, one-vs-one.
"He's the future of this club, honestly. And we have to help him, you know."
