Nick Woltemade believes Luciano Spalletti can get the best out of him at Juventus.
Newcastle United outcast Nick Woltemade believes he can play as a No.10 behind Kolo Muani at Juventus.
A year on Tyneside left the Magpies still wondering what the German’s best position is. Signed as a striker, Woltemade scored four goals in his first five Premier League games.
However, his form soon nosedived, with Eddie Howe using the 24-year-old in midfield. The experiment failed - and Newcastle appeared to lose faith in Woltemade by loaning him out to Italy.
It is hoped that he can rediscover his confidence in Turin. Speaking before Juve’s clash with Sassuolo, Woltemade declared that he enjoys playing behind Muani - the main centre-forward.

‘We are interchangeable’ - Nick Woltemade
"He's (Luciano Spalletti) helping me a lot and immediately started working closely with me to improve my game,” he said. “I'm sure I'll become a better player under him. I can certainly play as a No.10 behind the striker, moving around him as I did at Stuttgart and as I've already done against Milan with Kolo Muani, but we are interchangeable.
"I hope to replicate that season at Stuttgart where I scored 17 goals and won the German Cup. I'd love to achieve that here too."

Matthias Jaissle on Nick Woltemade
Matthias Jaissle also backed Woltemade to score goals for Juventus following the loan move. He said: "I really appreciate Nick as a player for his quality on the pitch but, also, I appreciate him as a human being and his quality off the pitch.
“We always had good conversations, really honest conversations. He desired to take another challenge in a top league as well with a top club. We always had good conversations, really honest conversations.
“He desired to take another challenge in a top league as well with a top club. He will score a lot of goals there, for sure. He's still our player so we will stay in close contact."
