Now there is a fresh development.
The match officials have been announced for Premier League matchweek five.
VAR official Matt Donohue from the derby and assistant Blake Antrobus are not listed. They have been omitted from selection for a week.
Whether this is the end of the punishment remains to be seen. United fans will feel that a one-week suspension is insufficient.

Rodney Marsh calls out Howard Webb
The reaction to the blown offside call has evoked a lot of sensible responses. It is not just Manchester United fans who are angry with the blown call.
Ex-City goalkeeper Joe Hart voiced his disapproval with the decision, stating that Enzo Fernandez was clearly offside and interfering with play for the winner.
Former City icon Rodney Marsh has joined in the backlash, demanding that Pro Ref figurehead Howard Webb should resign from his position.
Marsh posted on social media: “In my entire life I have never called for anyone, anywhere to be sacked! But in Howard Webb’s case I am making an exception…..”
Manchester United are yet to publicly respond to the apology provided by the Pro Ref group, formerly known as PGMO.
Howard Webb is also yet to comment on the situation. Arsenal are also demanding an apology from Pro Ref following a poor call in their game.
