Diogo Dalot became the fifth current Manchester United player to hit an impressive milestone.

After sitting out the Champions League game with Sabah last week, Diogo Dalot made a landmark appearance in the Manchester Derby.

Dalot made his 250th appearance for United in the controversial 1-0 loss to City, which was overshadowed by an incorrect VAR mistake for the goal.

The Portugal international signed for Manchester United in 2018 and while he had a spell on loan at AC Milan, he has become a mainstay for the club in recent years.

Dalot is one of only five current Manchester United players to hit the 250 appearances for the club.

Marcus Rashford: 430

Bruno Fernandes: 332

Luke Shaw: 329

Harry Maguire: 275

Diogo Dalot: 250

There is a long gap between Dalot and United’s top next appearance makers. It is Lisandro Martinez (114), then followed by Kobbie Mainoo (107), and Amad (97).

Dalot’s longevity at United

Diogo Dalot was presented with a special plaque before Manchester United’s game with City, commemorating the milestone.

He posed with manager Michael Carrick, who himself made 464 appearances as a player for Manchester United, the 17th highest in the club’s history.

Dalot has played under numerous managers at United, which we can break down below.

Jose Mourinho: 6

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: 36

Ralf Rangnick: 22

Erik ten Hag: 106

Ruud van Nistelrooy: 4

Ruben Amorim: 54

Darren Fletcher: 2

Michael Carrick: 20

Dalot has played his part in two trophy wins for United, the Carabao Cup in 2023 and FA Cup in 2024.

Speaking following his latest milestone, Dalot said: “This landmark is another step in the journey to the ultimate goal: winning titles wearing the Manchester United shirt.”

United are already behind the pace as pertains to a Premier League title challenge in 2026/27, already eight points off the leaders.
