‘Get Innnnnn’ ‘Good News’ Man City Fans Delighted As Maresca Confirms Major Injury Boost

Man City boss Enzo Maresca has revealed that Nico O’Reilly will be available for the Manchester derby.
The 21-year-old picked up a back problem in the warm-up before the 1-0 win over Coventry City last weekend, and he was missing from the matchday squad for the game in Porto.
However, when asked about O’Reilly’s fitness in his pre-match press conference on Friday, Maresca said:
“Nico is 100% available.”

Will O’Reilly start against Man Utd?
The England international was named in the eleven for Maresca’s first three games in charge prior to his recent injury, so there is a decent chance that he will return to the lineup for the derby. The City head coach does have other options, though.
Josko Gvardiol started at left-back against Porto midweek, while Rayan Ait-Nouri is also available. The Algerian came on as a substitute on Tuesday evening and provided the assist for Haaland’s second goal.

Other Man City injury news
While Maresca had good news on O’Reilly, things are not quite so positive for Jeremy Doku. The Belgian remains on the treatment table with a calf injury he sustained in the first half of the Community Shield against Arsenal last month.
Maresca had previously stated that the winger would be out for 2 to 3 weeks, but he now says that the player is still “more days” away from making his comeback. His absence against United will be keenly felt.
