Carlos Baleba is nearing his Manchester United debut after returning to training.
The midfielder, a £70 million ($94.3m) summer signing from Brighton, is yet to feature after picking up an injury during preseason.
He has returned to training on the grass at United's Carrington training base and Carrick is confident that the 22-year-old will be available after the international break.
"He'll be back in and around the group at some point over the next week or so, so that means after internationals, he should be in good shape," Carrick said.
Carlos Baleba is getting closer to making his debut for Man United, having not featured for the club yet since his signing in the summer.
Baleba's former club Brighton visit Old Trafford on Wednesday in the Carabao Cup third round.
The game will come too soon for the Cameroon international, but Carrick is looking forward to getting United's marquee summer signing into the team.

"He came being injured and then he's desperate to get out there and be part of the group and training fully with the boys," Carrick said.
"He's a quality player, that's why we brought him, and he balances off the dynamics of the midfield particularly well."
