**Fabian Hurzeler** has reinforced his desire to go for glory with **Brighton**.
The _Seagulls_ have shown a capacity to run up the scoreline on weaker opponents, putting four past 10-man **Aston Villa** in the first half and crushing **Coventry City** 5-0 on the weekend. More difficult has been avoiding sloppy errors to keep the side solid at the back, as the side lost 4-3 to **Chelsea** despite dominating possession at **Stamford Bridge** and also had a 1-1 stalemate with **Leeds United**.
Yet, **Brighton** were the outfit with the sixth-best record in the **Premier League** in the first five months of 2025, and they sit in fifth position in the table after their victory in the West Midlands.

Hurzeler’s men are three points above 13th-placed **Manchester United**, who face pressure under the leadership of now-permanent head coach **Michael Carrick**. A trip to **Old Trafford** on Wednesday evening enables the team to try and show a better face against a ‘Big Six’ opponent, and the pursuit of a first major honour in the club’s history would be a worthwhile pursuit for this upwardly mobile side.
