Kobbie Mainoo and Lisandro Martinez are among the five first-team Manchester United players who hold the best line-breaking passes per 90 minutes this season.
The 21-year-old Manchester United midfielder has started three of the Red Devils’ four Premier League matches in the 2026-27 campaign at Old Trafford so far.
Kobbie Mainoo has remained a creative midfield force for Michael Carrick’s side, despite the Premier League club’s mixed results in the new season.
The Stockport-born talent has one assist to his name, which Mainoo picked up in Man Utd’s 2-2 draw against Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium this month.

Kobbie Mainoo is currently outperforming Lisandro Martinez for Man Utd with line-breaking passes in the Premier League
Kobbie Mainoo is Manchester United’s third-best player for line-breaking passes per 90 minutes in the Premier League in the 2026-27 campaign at Old Trafford.
According to FotMob, the United youth academy product has completed 17.9 line-breaking passes per 90 minutes across his four Premier League matches. Mainoo has executed 55 total line-breaking passes in the United midfield, with the England international ranking ahead of defender Lisandro Martinez so far.
Martinez, who is well known for his line-breaking passes, is fifth in the rankings for United and the 28-year-old Argentine centre-back has 49 line-break passes in total. The 2022 World Cup winner has played in three Premier League matches out of four this season and has 16.3 line-breaking passes per 90 minutes for his side.
Harry Maguire is sandwiched between Mainoo and Martinez and the former Man Utd captain has completed more line-breaking passes in total in the Premier League. The 33-year-old England international has pulled off 67 line-break passes and has a 16.8 ratio per 90 minutes.

Noussair Mazraoui outranks Harry Maguire, Mainoo and Martinez in the rankings after he holds a better line-breaking pass metric per 90 minutes so far. The 28-year-old Morocco international has 18.4 line-breaking passes per 90 minutes, but Noussair Mazraoui’s stat is based on only 20 line-break passes in total.
Youri Tielemans outperformed every other Red Devils player after his overall 72 line-breaking passes translated to 20.6 line-breaking passes per 90 minutes.

5. Lisandro Martinez (defender): 16.3 line-breaking passes per 90 minutes — 49 total line-break passes
The Red Devils are currently 13th in the Premier League table and United recently lost 1-0 to 10-man Manchester City at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.
