Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly among the clubs interested in signing Manchester United’s highly-rated youngster JJ Gabriel (15), according to The Athletic.

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also said to be trying to sign the young winger. Initially under contract with the Red Devils until next June, Gabriel is reported to have informed the club’s management of his intention to leave, sending a letter of resignation.

The Manchester board are reportedly under no intention of honouring this request, keen to find a way to persuade their young star to stay at the club. However, as he is due to celebrate his 16th birthday on 6th October, Gabriel could, if he holds an Irish or Cypriot passport – the nationalities of his parents – leave the club where he came through the ranks.

Regarded as one of the Red Devils’ academy’s greatest talents, Gabriel is said to have decided to leave the English club due to growing frustration at his lack of first-team playing time. Having featured in Michael Carrick’s squad during pre-season, the 15-year-old striker has yet to make his professional debut this season, having hoped in particular to be included in the squad to face Sabah FC in the Champions League.
