Manchester United are still managing a lengthy injury list ahead of their Carabao Cup tie against Brighton.

Manchester United will approach Wednesday evening's Carabao Cup fixture at home to Brighton while continuing to manage an extensive injury list. The game follows a painful defeat in the Manchester derby, where City secured victory through a controversial Erling Haaland strike.
Pro Ref subsequently admitted an 'error of judgment' in allowing the goal to stand, but United must now refocus ahead of their opening Carabao Cup appearance of the campaign in the third round. Michael Carrick will once again be deprived of several key players, with several squad members remaining unavailable due to injury.
Baleba continues to await his maiden United outing following an ankle problem sustained during pre-season, shortly before finalising his transfer to Old Trafford.
Last month, Carrick said: "He's got a little ankle issue, so maybe a couple of weeks or so, maybe three weeks.
"We'll see. We knew that before, so it's no major issue. It'll be great to have him back when we can."

Amad is yet to appear for United this campaign after sustaining an injury in pre-season. The Ivory Coast international still has no confirmed timeframe for when he is anticipated to rejoin the matchday squad.
What has Carrick said: "Amad won't be involved this week. He'll be out a little bit longer," the Reds boss said last month.

De Ligt is closing in on full fitness following the back injury that has kept him sidelined since last November.
Having returned to training, Carrick has confirmed that United are adopting a measured approach before reintegrating the defender into matchday squads.
"It's positive," he said. "He's trained really well, but we're still managing it.
"When you're out for such a long period of time, you get to the final stages, pushing and pushing, and you've got to manage that last stage.
"It's important to get that balance right to take the next step. But he's on track, in a good place. Hopefully, some time soon."

The left-back has been absent from United's last two fixtures with an unspecified injury.
Carrick recently said: "Luke is not quite ready but he is very close. It's very small."

The Uruguayan sustained a serious knee ligament injury during the World Cup and is anticipated to remain on the treatment table for a number of months.
No precise timescale has been provided regarding his anticipated comeback.
