Cristiano Ronaldo may be looking for a new club as soon as January, with reports suggesting that he will leave Saudi Arabia in the coming months. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner was the first marquee signing to arrive in the Saudi Pro League back in 2023, joining Al-Nassr on a mind-boggling salary exceeding £3million per week.
Since then, Ronaldo has scored 126 times in 149 appearances as he closes in on his stated aim of reaching 1,000 career goals. However, it seems unlikely that he will achieve that milestone at Al-Nassr, with Saudi journalist Saud Al-Sarami claiming that he is poised to leave the club in January.
During a recent radio appearance, Al-Sarami said: "Cristiano has become a spent force for Al-Nassr. I believe Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Al-Nassr in January during the winter transfer window."
Even though Ronaldo is no longer the unstoppable force he once was, there will be no shortage of clubs lining up for his signature if he does leave Al-Nassr in the winter transfer window.
There will inevitably be talk of a romantic return to Manchester United, but it remains to be seen if a third spell at Old Trafford will materialise.
United were reportedly interested in signing a striker over the summer, but were left empty-handed in their efforts to improve their forward line.
As a result, they could return to the market in January, but it seems likely Ronaldo would be overlooked in favour of a younger, higher-potential alternative.

Ronaldo could also be targeted by clubs in the United States, with the MLS traditionally serving as an end-of-career destination for some of football's biggest names.
A potential move to Inter Miami would see the 41-year-old playing alongside Lionel Messi, although financial implications and complicated MLS player registration rules could make things difficult.
LA Galaxy could also be in the mix, having previously signed the likes of David Beckham and Zlatan Ibrahimovic toward the end of their respective careers.
Alternatively, Ronaldo could pursue a long-awaited return to Sporting, where he developed before joining United for the first time in 2003.
He is still regarded as a legend there and a second spell at the Estadio Jose Alvalade would undoubtedly be popular with supporters and generate millions in shirt sales.
