Manchester United fans have voiced their frustration at Marcus Rashford and other players following Wednesday’s defeat to Brighton.
For the second season in a row, the Red Devils crashed out of the Carabao Cup straight away. While this wasn’t as embarrassing as last year’s defeat in Grimsby, squandering a two-goal lead and conceding three comical goals has been hard for the fans to stomach.
Therefore, the post-match mood around Old Trafford was anything but pleasant, especially with this elimination ensuing only three days after a derby defeat to 10-man Manchester City.
Fans tells Marcus Rashford & Diogo Dalot to leave Man Utd

While the Man Utd players were leaving the stadium, a video captured the reaction of a section of supporters.
The footage below first shows Diogo Dalot leaving Old Trafford alongside his partner, with some fans urging him to leave MUFC.

To his credit, the Portuguese initially tried to respond politely to those cheering his name, but sensing the foul mood, he preferred to quietly walk away from the scene.
Afterwards, Rashford received the same mixed reception. But unlike Dalot, the English attacker avoided any eye contact and didn’t react, instead blocking out the noise.

While the video above only captured two players, one would imagine that several others had received the same treatment after the shambolic performance, with only Shea Lacey (who was Man Utd’s best player on the pitch) and a few others spared.
Dalot had, in fact, delivered another poor display. Andy Mitten gave him a 4/10 rating in his post-match piece for The National. The Portuguese right-back was equally disappointing against Man City.
Although he fared comprehensively better (6/10), Rashford has yet to fully patch things up with the Man Utd supporters, who realise he only returned to the club after 18 months due to the lack of a better alternative, as his dream was to prolong his stay at Barcelona.
But while the fans might be disgruntled with underperforming players, they remain far more enraged with the hierarchy, whether it’s longtime majority owners, the Glazers, or Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS group, who have been in charge of the daily operations for more than two years.
