Nick Woltemade has broken his silence after scoring his first goal for Juventus since joining them on a season-long loan deal from Newcastle United earlier this month.
The Germany international made his first start for the Italian giants on Thursday evening, scoring his side's third goal in their 5-0 win over Dutch side NEC Nijmegen in the Europa League.
With Juventus already in a commanding 2-0 lead at the Allianz Stadium, Nico Gonzalez was brought down by NEC defender Almugera Kabar in the penalty area and Woltemade stepped up to dispatch the penalty, sending goalkeeper Nikolas Polster the wrong way.
The 24-year-old lasted 82 minutes before being replaced by Augusto Owusu and Woltemade has since taken to Instagram to express his delight at getting off the mark for his new side as he said: "European nights. Happy about my first goal for Juventus."

Expanding further on his feelings, Woltemade opened up on his start to life in Turin suggesting he is 'still not happy' with how he is playing but feels getting his first goal will help him 'settle' and gain more confidence.
"Honestly, you can play as well as you want, but for a striker, scoring is always the most important thing. This will help me settle in and gain self-confidence. I'm very happy and I thank my teammate for leaving me the penalty," Woltemade told Sky Sports Italia.
"I'm happy, especially with the result. Winning at home is always positive, no game is easy, I think we did pretty well. We knew it would be a tough match. Obviously I'm happy to have scored the first goal, overall it was a good night in every way.
"Obviously, it's all very new for me. I'm in a new country and with a new language. I still have to find an apartment, for now, I'm in a hotel. I learn something new every week. I'm still not happy with how I'm playing. I want to continue improving , and then I think about helping the team."
Woltemade is looking to rediscover the goalscoring touch after a difficult 2026 with Newcastle and will hope to build on Thursday's performance when Juventus take on Atalanta in Serie A on Sunday.
