Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti expressed satisfaction after his side bounced back from a 3-2 defeat at Sassuolo in Serie A last weekend to thrash NEC Nijmegen 5-0 in Turin on Thursday in their opening Europa League match.
Nico Gonzalez, Kerim Alajbegovic, Nick Woltemade, Zeki Celik and Randal Kolo Muani were on target as Juve made light work of the Dutch visitors.
"I'm very pleased with the win and the performance because the team went out onto the pitch with a clear head, turning the doubts that follow defeat into decisions to be made," Spalletti said.
"They (the players) managed to capitalise on their determination, they did well".
