**Alvaro Arbeloa** addressed the challenge of competing against **Manchester United**.

On Wednesday evening, the pressure piled up even further for the next opponents of **Fulham** as **Michael Carrick** watched his side throw away an early two-goal lead in an eventual 3-2 defeat to **Brighton** in the **Carabao Cup** third round. However, Arbeloa does not believe that the _Cottagers_ can assume they will kick the ‘Big Six’ side while they are down without encountering any resistance.

_“They have very talented and top players and, of course, they are_ **_Man United_**_, so you know what it means, and like I said before, if we want to beat them – and we believe that we can beat them – we need to play at the very high level that we did at_ **_Anfield_** _for 90 minutes._
_“Even doing that, we couldn't beat_ **_Liverpool_**_, we couldn't beat_ **_Chelsea_**_. In both games, we did really well. So, we are facing one of the best teams in the world, we know that, and we need to be ready._
_“_**_Fulham_** _is important, and I think our supporters deserve one victory against_ **_Man United_**_. I know that is so difficult, and the last time that we beat them here at_ **_Craven Cottage_** _was too many years ago, so we will give our best and try to give them a victory.”_
