Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement with Noah Ajayi, who is now set to sign his first professional contract.
The Red Devils are enduring difficult times, not only at the first-team level amid poor results, but also at the youth level, with JJ Gabriel dropping a seismic bomb by asking to leave the club immediately.
But while United could be about to lose the most exciting 15-year-old in the sport, they can at least consolate themselves by tying down another promising teenager in the shape of Ajayi.

In his latest update for Manchester United’s Round Table, Carrington insider Sully revealed that the club has an agreement in place with Ajayi.
The young forward currently has a scholarship contract with the club valid until the end of the season, but he will soon sign his first professional deal. He is now eligible to do so under the regulations, having turned 17 last November.
The teenager began his career at MUFC’s academy, and he was promoted to the under-18 side in 2025.
The German-Nigerian player often plays as a left winger, so he formed an exciting partnership with Gabriel, which yielded a plethora of goals last season.

Although he primarily appears for Darren Fletcher’s Man Utd U18, Ajayi has occasionally featured for Adam Lawrence’s under-21 side.
Moreover, Sully believes that Ajayi will start making sporadic appearances in Michael Carrick’s training sessions. However, making his senior debut this season remains a challenging task amid the stern competition for the left-winger role.
Marcus Rashford, Matheus Cunha, Patrick Dorgu, and 18-year-old new signing Tynan Thompson are all options for this spot.

Although he stands at 6’2, Ajayi is renowned for his neat dribbling skills. This combination earned him comparisons with Rashford, who climbed his way to United’s senior team just over a decade ago.

The young German still has several steps before breaking into the first team, but his talent and impressive displays suggest he is capable of reaching high levels.
But whether he will ever find enough space among Man Utd’s seniors remains far from guaranteed.
