INEOS's record this season is beyond embarrassing, with four clubs under their name all failing to deliver. They have been at the centre of attention for all the wrong reasons this season.
Manchester United's first team sit in 13th place with one win from four Premier League games. Manchester United Women started gameweek three rock bottom of the Women's Super League with back-to-back defeats. Nice are winless from four games in Ligue 1, and Swiss side Lausanne Sport are bottom of the Swiss Super League.
The beginning of 2024 saw a change as Sir Jim Ratcliffe completed a £1.27 billion deal for a 28.9% stake in Manchester United as optimism grew in the fanbase, but that optimism quickly faded as the same problems continued in the club.
With concerns rising more and more, Sir Jim Ratcliffe was questioned about his care for both the fanbase and the women's side. His answer was very telling.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe Dismisses Concerns Over Man Utd
According to Sports Editor Bill Rice on X, Ratcliffe was quick to avoid all questions concerning the club.
When asked about United and if he had a message for the fans, Ratcliffe answered, “We’re here to talk about carbon dioxide and carbon capture.”
On if he cares about women’s football: “I’m certainly not going to talk about that.”
His reluctancy to answer speaks volumes of the current state of the clubs under his ownership. Protests occurred during the Manchester derby and will no doubt continue if the glaring issues are not addressed.
As pressure continues to build on Ratcliffe's shoulders, scrutiny over the long-term plans for the clubs will surely grow as it continues to bleed into the teams performances on the pitch.

Man Utd Women Starved Of Attention
The summer transfer window for Manchester United Women was a clear example of poor ownership and ignorance of the clear issues at the club.
Former manager Marc Skinner was dismissed midway through the window with the arrival of Janina Leipzig from Leicester, and Andrea Medina was already confirmed from Atletico Madrid, whilst Hannah Blundell, Millie Turner, Lisa Naalsund, Gabby George and star forward Melvine Malard all left the club.
This gave new manager Eva Olid less than two weeks to build her squad, only bringing in Monica Jusu Bah from BK Hacken and Rebeca Bernal from Washington Spirit.
The shaken up squad was set up to fail with the surrounding WSL teams making huge movements in the transfer window, with London City Lionesses epitomising the summer with their major arrivals.
