Cunha: ‘We need to create more to score more goals’

Matheus Cunha commented on a 1-1 draw between Manchester United and Fulham.
The Brazilian banked his first Premier League goal this campaign as he watched a right footed shot deflect off the outstretched foot of David Affengruber and into the back of the net in the 89th minute.
However, the disappointment of the Red Devils with this display could not be hidden after full time.
·‘We always play better after conceding the goal which can’t happen’
Not for the first time, United struggled to control a contest and create consistent quality chances with their possession phases. They turned the screw somewhat in the final minutes of the match, but that will not be enough for the side to show that they belong among the elite in England and Europe.
“In the beginning we put the plan in and we started to create some chances. We were unlucky not to score and then they scored in one action and got lucky.
"It was a little bit frustrating for us after we conceded the goal, we were much better with more enthusiasm and character, but this needs to happen from the very start of the game.

“It is only one point, but we never want to play for just one point.
“I feel like after the first half we were creating more chances and were stronger and more physical.
“The beginning of the second half [ Fulham ] put more energy into the game than us and we cannot accept this. We always play better after conceding the goal which can’t happen.
“We need to create more to score more goals. I always try to improve and do the best for this club; I always feel very privileged to play different roles for this club. This season we need to improve a little bit because we can continue to do something special for the club."
