Man Utd striker Benjamin Sesko has pulled out of international duty with Slovenia after suffering a setback with his shin injury.

Benjamin Sesko will have further tests this week on a recurring shin injury before starting on a recovery plan after he withdrew from international duty with Slovenia.
Sesko missed Manchester United’s draw with Fulham at the weekend after complaining of discomfort in the same shin that ruled him out for four months in the summer.
He underwent further testing at Carrington on Monday morning and is now out of Slovenia’s four Nations League games during this international break.
A statement from Manchester United said: “Manchester United can confirm that Benjamin Sesko has withdrawn from the Slovenia squad ahead of the upcoming three-week international break.
“The striker had been called up by head coach Bostjan Cesar for two games against Scotland, plus meetings with North Macedonia and Switzerland, but he will now no longer join the squad.
“Sesko appeared in our Carabao Cup tie with Brighton & Hove Albion, but was absent from the matchday squad for our most recent encounter with Fulham.
“Benjamin will undergo tests this week before defining his individual recovery plan.”
United are next in action against Tottenham at Old Trafford on Saturday, October 10.
There has been tension between United and the Slovenian FA over Sesko's fitness in recent months and national team boss Bostjan Cesar has previously complained about the striker being withdrawn from international camps, only to then play for his club side soon after. Sesko hasn't played for his country since October 2025 and will now have missed their last 10 internationals.
