The social media team at La Liga giants Atlético Madrid have on Monday clapped back at those in a position of power at arch rivals Real Madrid.

This comes in response to the latter’s furious response to the standard of officiating in yesterday’s Madrid Derby.

After being condemned to the wrong side of a 2-1 result, José Mourinho and Real Madrid embarked on a tirade against Ángel Ortiz Arias and his staff.

Adamant that those overseeing proceedings overlooked not one, but two Atlético red cards, those behind the scenes at the Santiago Bernabéu went as far as to label the referee’s performance ‘dreadful’.

And as alluded to above, with the dust having now settled on the situation, Sunday’s derby victors have hit back…

In a post featuring José Mourinho and his viral printout of the decisions which he feels went against he and his players, Atlético took to social media, to send the following message:

‘Stop referee harassment now’
