Manchester United paid £36 million for a player who is now fielding wild contract offers from Libya and Russia as a free agent after being offered around Europe

Russian Premier League clubs are reportedly in contact with Anthony Martial over signing the former Manchester United forward. Libyan Premier League side Al-Ittihad Tripoli are said to have already seen a contract offer worth £13million rejected by the free agent.
Martial, 30, left Liga MX team Monterrey midway through a two-year contract earlier this summer. He is apparently now wanted by multiple clubs in Spain, including Malaga.
The former France international left United two years ago and eventually joining Super League Greece side AEK Athens. He is now looking for his third club after spending nine seasons at Old Trafford.
L'Equipe claims CSKA Moscow and Krasnodar are amongst several clubs keen on Martial. The forward is believed to have rejected an approach from Auxerre earlier in the summer.
They are understood to be the sole French club to have tabled an offer for him despite agents allegedly touting his availability to numerous others. Lens and Nice have previously been linked with a move.
Everton were even mentioned at one point after the summer transfer window closed without another forward arriving on Merseyside following their deadline-day debacle with Folarin Balogun. Several other Premier League clubs were said to be offered him.

Foot Mercato claims Martial knocked back Al-Ittihad Tripoli's offer worth a net salary of £8.6million across two years, alongside a £4.3million signing-on fee. Libya's most successful club brought in former Southampton winger and the Morocco international Sofiane Boufal earlier this month.
Lorient sporting director Laurent Koscielny has revealed they were approached about signing Martial. The former Arsenal defender told Ouest-France: "I think we received 400 to 450 player offers during the transfer window.
"There were, for example, a lot of former internationals in the lot, including Anthony Martial." The duo represented France together on 13 occasions during their international careers.
Martial has featured in only 53 matches across the two campaigns since his Old Trafford exit. The striker netted nine times for AEK but registered just a single goal for Monterrey before heading back to Europe.
He will celebrate his 31st birthday in early December and was said to be holding off on any decision regarding his future until this international break. Martial has previous experience of Spanish football from his loan spell at Sevilla, with Malaga located just under 100 miles southeast of Andalucia's capital.
A switch to Russia, however, would represent a leap into the unknown. Clubs in the nation are also barred from UEFA competitions following the invasion of Ukraine.
